brand identity

The visual and verbal system through which a brand becomes itself. We build identities from the type up — beginning with a wordmark, a typographic voice, and a colour philosophy, then expanding outward into everything an organisation needs to be recognised at distance and trusted up close.

Most identity engagements run between twelve and twenty weeks. We deliver a master guidelines document, a working file library, and where useful, a six-month embedded period to help the system land inside your team.

digital products

Websites, marketing sites, e-commerce, and product interfaces designed with editorial sensibility and engineered to last. We work with a small group of trusted developers and prefer to design and build under one roof — the line between design and code dissolves quickly when the work is good.

Framework-agnostic but biased toward simplicity: static-first architectures, considered motion, and content models that survive a five-year roadmap.

strategy & naming

The work that happens before the work. Positioning workshops, narrative architecture, naming, and verbal identity. We treat strategy as a craft in its own right — not a deck to be approved, but a working document the studio and client revise together.

Naming is its own deep practice. We typically present six to ten directions, each with full linguistic, trademark, and domain checks, alongside the reasoning that produced them.

motion & video

Brand films, course modules, motion systems, and the kind of interface motion that makes a digital product feel alive. We work with a small group of directors, animators, and editors — most of whom we have collaborated with for years.

Every brand we ship now includes a motion system. Every platform we ship has considered motion built into the design tokens. It's no longer an add-on — it's part of the foundation.

art direction

We art-direct photography, film, and illustration for our own clients, and occasionally for other studios. Our network includes photographers in Rome, Copenhagen, Stockholm, and London — most of whom we have worked with for years.

We work to a single rule: the image should look like it could only have been made for this brand. Generic stock has no place in considered work.

07 / Method

how we
work.

Every project is different, but a recognisable rhythm runs through them. Four phases, usually three to six months end-to-end, sometimes longer when the brief deserves it.

Two weeks of conversation, archive review, and stakeholder interviews. We read the briefs three times. We visit you wherever you are.

frame

A working strategy document — usually no more than ten pages — that establishes the conceptual ground for everything that follows.

make

Two or three deep design directions, presented in person, refined over weeks of close collaboration. We prefer fewer, deeper iterations.

land

Production, build, embedded support, and a final guidelines document. Where useful, an ongoing retainer relationship.

We try to keep our commercial structure simple. Pricing is project-based, billed in three or four phased instalments, with no monthly minimums and no hidden licensing.
